Meet The DT - Part 1

Welcome to our first installment of our MEET THE DT series of  posts.
We would love to to meet our New DT members and get to know our long service ladies a bit better too.

I’m a 40-something mum to two boys, wife to hubby,
fur-mama to Sasha the cat and Angus the dog.
We live in the Wellington area of New Zealand.
I love watching my boys play rugby in the winter and cricket in the summer.
I have a paper addiction that goes back to when I realised my favourite space in any
workplace is the stationery cupboard. I’ve been scrapbooking even before I knew what it was –
but definitely enjoy using the pretty papers and doodads having learnt scrapbooking was
a thing close on nine years ago. I began to use the Project Life form when I went back to work. However, I still love 12x12 scrapping. My philosophy is any story or photo documented
is better than none and I don’t necessarily worry about chronology. I create cards too.
Often well after they should have been sent. I make a dutch apple tart better than
my dutch mother-in-law. But shhhh, Hubby said I mustn’t tell anyone!

Hi, my name is Anne & I live in Rangiora, New Zealand with my hubby, 2 daughters (20 & 18) & 3 furbabies (2 dogs, 1 cat).
I have always loved crafts & have been scrapping now for 10 years. I love creating 12x12 layouts & am addicted to patterned paper & my growing collection of mixed media products.
With my girls now grown up & doing their own thing I have more time for scrapping & can usually be found playing in my scrap room on the weekend.
I am loving being on the Southern Girls team with such a talented group of girls!

Hi! My name is Agnieszka, my nickname is chanya13 and I live in Poland. My husband and I have 4 cats and a dog.

I have been scrapbooking for 5 years now and I’m totally crazy about this hobby! My favorite things to make are cards, ATC’S and notebooks but most of all, I love to make multilayer cards. I also like making exploding boxes and scrap book layouts.

I have my own style and I love to use flowers. I sometimes make my own, either from paper or foam. I add butterflies, different media and lace of all kinds to my projects. I have a weakness for purple and pink and use them quite a lot. Vintage and romantic styles are my favorites.

In my free time I like gardening, rock climbing, hiking and traveling. I also love photography.

If you want to see my work, look here:

Hi, my name is Carol, AKA Cass (in blogland).  I've been crafting in one form or another since a very early age, thanks to my Mum who taught me  basic needlework stitches at the age of 4.  I do a lot of different crafts, paper, digital artwork, I've even been known to do a bit of leadlighting as well.  I'll try anything new I see along the way. I've been lucky to be on the Southern Girls Challenge Design Team for 12 months now.  Hop over to my blog  and check out some of my creations, I don't have any particular style, in fact pretty random.

Hi, my name is Virginia, I am 32 and live in Manawatu, New Zealand. I have been married for nearly 8 years with a 4 year old daughter as well. I live on a Pedigree Jersey dairy farm that my husband manages and I rear all of the calves in Autumn and Spring. I also have a white dove release business. I have a huge passion for animals, nature and of course creating! I have painted since my early teens and discovered scrapbooking in my early 20s.... last year I fell in love with card making and art journalling and ever since then my life has been consumed with paper, paint and photos. I am looking forward to being a part of a creative team and taking part in challenges.

I'm Michelle. I live in Hamilton, NZ. I'm a mum of 2 children, Brooke
aged 13 and Isaak aged 11. I've been crafting since my children were
babies, and have collected a lot of crafting products over the years. I
LOVE making cards, especially interactive ones. Stamps and dies are
still my favorite crafting items, it seems I can never have enough. I'm
sure if the house burned down, after my family, my crafting items would
be the first things I'd save!

I have been a member of the Southern Girls challenge this year and I'm
enjoying it immensely. It's giving me a reason to break out my supplies
and use them in creative ways.
